My husband and I stayed for several days in June in the Studio. It is very well stocked and it is very private. We enjoyed sitting on the swing watching the brids and the river. We also enjoyed grilling and Janet even let us get some hers from her garden for our fresh salmon. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back someday soon.

  9. Terry & Jungsoon Williams Bath , Michigan says:

7 great days of peace and quite and a beautiful view of the Kenai River. We had all the comforts of home and we enjoyed every minute of it. We are looking forward to our next trip back to Alaska.

  10. Jan and Ed from Hawaii says:

We loved our stay at Kenai River Retreat. We stayed there 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Janet went out of her way to make us feel welcomed (my husband was fighting a cold and Janet offered her humidifier, among other things.) The river was extremely high and fishing was not good but my husband got to see a moose swimming across the river. Even though fishing (all around the Kenai) wasn’t good, the view from our balcony was beautiful. I would definitely stay there again. The unit was clean and comfortable; the kitchen was well equipped with dishes, pots and pans, dishes, etc.

  11. Josh Evans says:

Stayed at KRR for a quick 3 night in October 2011. The accommodations were perfect. Janet was very flexible with our tentative travel plans, even up to the last minute. She stayed up late to welcome us to the property, which was greatly appreciated. Marv and Janet provided a number of great tips and hints about local places to eat and drink, shop, fish, and hike! One of our favorite parts of the trip was cooking a big breakfast (with all of the supplied kitchen utensils and cookware), and eating on the porch overlooking the Kenai. The location is ideal, as you’re away from civilization, yet anything that you may need is short 2-3 minute drive away. During the salmon season, you can catch plenty right off the back yard. 10/10, couldn’t ask for more. Thank you!

  12. Bryan and Karon Schleigh says:

The Kenai River Retreat was everything we expected, and more. Janet sure knows the definition of hospitality. We were greeted as if we were family. As soon as you enter the suite, you are greeted with amazing views of the Kenai River. In addition to the wonderful amenities, all the gear needed for fishing and clamming is available for guest use and the selection is quite vast. Oh, and if you find yourself in need of “a cup of sugar”, just ask; if Janet has it, she will gladly share it with her guests.

  13. Rick Morse says:

Greatest people and lodge anywhere, never had a bad time and dream of next trip daily, fishing and company 1st class, near everything

  14. John Zhang says:

Our family loved the pretty and neat condo, especially the beautiful backyard, the trees, ladder path to the river, and of course the light Jade colored Kenai river flowing by. My Daughter especially enjoyed her staying and even made a friend with Janet’s grand daughter. Another big reason that we so loved this place is Janet. Her warm welcome, cheerful spirit, kindness and care made us feel like home. When we need anything, we would first ask her about it. She loves sharing the things and information with us. We are so grateful about their hospitality and their loving kindness.
